Creative Collaboration

After many years of being out of touch, Jose Arrieta and Mario Bravo reunited and reconnected over their art. Jose as a photographer and Mario as a painter. Both Jose and Mario grew up in a small village in Colombia called Planeta Rica. The two amigos respect and admire each other's art so much, and this is what sparked the idea to begin an artistic collaboration.

Jose Arrieta

Jose has been taking pictures since 2007, however, his subject matter changed in 2019 after he had a concussion as the result of a terrible car accident. This condition took him away from computers, cellphones, and any screen devices. The camera and nature were his only escapes to avoid headaches, depression, and anxiety. This is how he started falling deeply in love with wildlife photography and capturing moments in nature. As Jose says, “Always see the bright side of life!”

Mario Bravo

Mario has been painting since he was 17 years old. After trying different jobs and wandering aimlessly in life, he decided to follow his passion and focus 100% on painting. He has painted portraits, city murals, and abstract subjects, but he feels most connected to his work and God when he paints anything related to mother nature. His biggest spiritual therapy is the paintbrush. Mario still lives in Planeta Rica Colombia, and Jose settled down in Stillwater Minnesota after living abroad.
